🌷January 20, 2024-Joyful Mindlift Retreat🌺
Your goal is to provide the best quality programming for older adults so that their lives are enriched with creative classes, dynamic social interactions and fun.
We have developed workshops and classes to improve the quality of life for older adults and help them cope with the unique challenges of aging.
Our classes are 60 minutes long with additional time for seniors to share their experiences. Pearls of WiseWomen provides supportive take home materials to motivate seniors to incorporate these tools and practices into their daily lives. The fee for each class is $200.
Your seniors will be bathed in the beautiful sounds of the singing bowls and other instruments as they help to bring harmony to their mind and body. Sound has been used for centuries to bring pleasure, relaxation, and peace. Each singing bowl has a frequency that works directly with the energy centers. Reiki will be shared with anyone wanting to experience this relaxation technique to help bring the body into balance and reduce stress.
Participants will experience the gentle movement of chair yoga combined with the calming benefits of meditation. Chair yoga is easy on the joints, and is a beneficial form of yoga for any fitness level, from active seniors to those recovering from an injury. Reiki will be shared with anyone wanting to experience this relaxation technique to help bring the body into balance and reduce stress.
Stress is the number one enemy of aging both mentally and physically. Participants will learn the affects of stress on their overall health. They will learn to identify stressors and manage them in their daily lives. Our stress busters include: attitude of gratitude, adaptability, life long learning, and meditation.
Chronic inadequate sleep puts people at risk for many health challenges. When Seniors get a good night’s sleep they simply feel better, think better, make better decisions and go about their day with more ease. Sleep is critical. It allows the body to replenish itself in a variety of ways that affect all bodily systems including the brain, the heart, the immune system, hormones and metabolism.
Have you ever considered food as medicine? Participants will learn the unique needs of their bodies during their Third Act. They will learn the most effective ways to replenish and restore their bodies through healthy food choices.
